Australia’s favourite probate lawyer is back in business, with the ABC today announcing at its 2027 Showcase a brand-new season of the multi award-winning comedy Fisk.

One of the ABC’s most successful comedies, Fisk has become a cultural phenomenon since premiering in 2021. Seasons 1, 2 and 3 are the three most-watched non-kids programs ever on ABC iview, with audiences consuming almost 10 million hours of Fisk on the platform. Across its first three seasons, each episode has attracted an audience of close to three million viewers, with series-on-series growth each year that culminated in season 3 becoming the number one non-kids program of 2024 on the ABC.*

Kitty Flanagan returns as Helen Tudor-Fisk, joined by fan favourites Julia Zemiro, Aaron Chen, Marty Sheargold, John Gaden and Glenn Butcher, who will all reprise their beloved roles in the new season. The new season will also feature a host of surprise guest cameos popping up alongside the Gruber & Fisk team.

#Fisk is back and so is the brown suit, the big difference is, this time Helen’s in charge. Or is she? This season Helen will struggle to keep up with the amount of new business generated by the “First Ladies of Probate” model, and there’s even talk of a Gruber & Fisk franchise.

Expect more of the sharp wit, awkward encounters and unexpected heart that have made Fisk one of Australia’s most celebrated and widely loved comedies.

Co-creator, co-writer, co-director and star, Kitty Flanagan said: “It’s wonderful to be back and we can’t wait to start filming again at our “offices” in North Melbourne. With any luck, we might even be able to convince Melbourne City Council to give the tram tracks on Errol Street a once over with some WD40. It’d be nice to have just a little less screeching from the number 57 tram every time it rolls by.”

ABC Head of Scripted, Rachel Okine, said: “Few Australian comedies have connected with audiences like Fisk. It has become a defining ABC success story, setting viewing records on ABC iview, attracting millions of viewers and earning widespread acclaim, including multiple Logie and AACTA awards. Across three outstanding seasons, Kitty and Penny Flanagan have created a series that is distinctly Australian, universally relatable and consistently hilarious. We’re thrilled to welcome Helen Tudor-Fisk and the Gruber & Fisk team back for another season.”

VicScreen CEO Caroline Pitcher said: “From Victoria to the world, audiences can’t get enough of Helen Tudor-Fisk and her associates. We’re proud this distinctive local comedy has become a global success story, and we’re delighted to support Fisk for a fourth season.”

Fisk season 4 will air in 2027 on ABC TV and ABC iview.
