No, it’s not a new movie about tattoos. Creators seem to love projects about arseholes disrupting the status quo and birthing something new, with Super Pumped: The Battle For Uber and WeCrashed just two obvious examples. Now comes Ink, the tale of how that lovely bloke Rupert Murdoch (Guy Pearce, doing a roaring Aussie accent) teamed with editor Larry Lamb (Jack O’Connell) to make The Sun the most influential newspaper tabloid in the UK. What an achievement! Well, there have been movies about the invention of the atomic bomb and the genesis of AIDS. Also starring Claire Foy and directed by Danny Boyle in The Wolf Of Wall Street mode, Ink looks like fun…for a film about the creation of something so horrible.
