See-Saw Films, the Academy Award®, BAFTA, Emmy and Golden Globe-winning television and film production house has entered a dynamic new phase with their podcast, The Sandbox, featuring a stellar line-up of guests and an upcoming relaunch of their YouTube channel.

Hosted by the Academy Award-winning producer Emile Sherman (The King’s Speech), See-Saw’s Joint Founder and CEO, The Sandbox draws on See-Saw’s nearly 20-year history as an independent production company where it has made some of the most impactful creative productions of the moment including the award-winning Slow Horses starring Gary Oldman for Apple TV, Alice Oseman’s Heartstopper Forever starring  Kit Connor and Joe Locke for Netflix and Tenzing, the powerful new feature film starring Genden Phuntsok, Tom Hiddleston and Willem Dafoe for Apple Original Films. In The Sandbox, Sherman brings together creative talent from See-Saw’s productions and others in long form conversations about the creative process. A sandbox experience is full of exploration and fun, with a sense of play, all driven by a passion for creativity.

Episode Highlights:

Filmmaker Jane Campion – Part 1 – July 7; Part 2 – July 14, 2026:  A freewheeling conversation with Academy Award-winning director Jane Campion about creative risk, inspiration, and the craft of filmmaking. Campion has been nominated for five Oscars, winning Best Original Screenplay for The Piano and Best Director for the See-Saw production The Power of the Dog. She is the only woman to have been nominated twice for the Academy Award for Best Director, and the first female filmmaker to receive the Palme d’Or at Cannes. See-Saw Films first worked with Campion In 2012 on the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning miniseries Top of the Lake, which became a landmark moment in serialised television – and then again on The Power of the Dog which earned 12 Academy Award nominations (a record for an Australian film).

“The power of Jane’s storytelling stems from her unflinching vision, her creative risk-taking, and her unwavering commitment to exploring not just the world around her but her inner world. She trusts, amongst other things, the deep reservoir of the subconscious that, if we’re still long enough to listen, can serve as our guide. What a treat to sit down with Jane and reignite that space of inner inspiration,” said The Sandbox host, Emile Sherman.

Actor Joe Locke – July 21, 2026: Star of See-Saw’s hugely successful series Heartstopper and the upcoming film Heartstopper Forever, which launches on Netflix on July 17, 2026.
