Australian distributor Bounty Films has announced the exclusive Australian theatrical release of the new comedy feature film Wingman. The film will screen at Sydney’s Ritz Cinemas and Melbourne’s Lido Cinemas starting on Thursday, May 21, ahead of its U.S. streaming premiere on Apple TV on May 26. Directed by and starring Harland Williams (Dumb and Dumber), the film features a cast including Jamie Kennedy (Scream), Russell Peters (Chef), Kayla Wallace (Landman), Shiva Negar (American Assassin), and David Lipper (Full House).
Written by Williams from a story by Justin L. Levine (Life Happens), Wingman follows an awkward romantic played by Evan Marsh (Workin’ Moms), who hires a self-styled wacky “Wingman” whose extreme coaching sends him into escalating dating misadventures as he tries to win back his ex.
The production features Aussie James Pratt (Eyes of Salt) who serves as Associate Producer. The film is produced by Justin L. Levine and Stardust Pictures, with David Lipper and Robert A. Daly Jr. serving as Executive Producers. Casting is by Carly Granovsky.
