Strap in for The End of the F***ing World

It’s weird that this just blipped on our radar, because a) it’s hitting Netflix in two days, b) it’s based on a comic, and c) it looks absolutely brilliant.

Teenager James (Alex Lawther) is a self-diagnosed psychopath, who hits the road with fellow outcast Alyssa (Jessica Barden) to find her absent father. Well, maybe – James, our narrator, claims he wants to kill her, but is he really a murderer in the making, or just a particularly messed up kid? Or is there any difference? Does it matter at The End of the F***ing World?

It all looks bleakly hilarious, and is sure to push a few buttons. Jonathan Entwistle directs, Charlie Covell adapts Charles S. Forsman’s graphic novel, and all eight episodes land on January 5. Here, have a poster:
