Alan Erson has been appointed as Managing Director of WildBear Entertainment effective from 1 August in a new role created to support the rapid growth that WildBear has achieved over the past 18 months. Alan will focus on complementing WildBear’s international success and growing the business in the Australian market. Alan will be based in the Sydney office.

Alan Erson was the General Manager Australia and Head of Factual at Essential Media and Entertainment in Sydney. Prior to this Erson was an ABC Executive for five years. He rose from Commissioning Editor, Science, History and Natural History to Head of Documentaries then Head of Factual. Some of his recent EP credits include Australia the Story of Us (Seven), Why Anzac with Sam Neill (ABC, Maori Television), Todd Sampson’s Body Hack (Ten and DNI) and Getting Frank Gehry (BBC and ABC).
