Directed by Arrowhead’s Jesse O’Brien and written by lead Jordan Waller, Two Heads Creek tells the story of a shy butcher, Norman (Jordan Waller) and his drama queen twin sister, Annabelle (Kathryn Wilder), who after the death of their adoptive mother, leave the UK and adventure to Australia in search of their biological mother, but the local townsfolk of Two Heads Creek are hiding a dark secret: the pair must reconcile their differences to fight for their lives in this playfully dark comedy-horror.

At the centre of the film is a show-stopping musical number, when Apple (Helen Dallimore) sings her heart out to a crowd of bewildered tourists – including Norman, gagged and bound on a barrel.  The song at the heart of this sequence is the classic ‘Horror Movie’ by Skyhooks rearranged into a driving, explosive rock opera track.

The soundtrack of the film reflects this sense of nostalgic rock n’ roll history, as an exaggerated version of what you’d hear on any Australian country pub’s juke box. Songs from Normie Rowe, Skyhooks, Goanna and Sherbet offset the sinister elements to create a rollicking good time.

Two Hands Creek also stars Kevin Harrington as well as Stephen Hunter and Don Bridges. The Australian-English co-production was produced by Judd Tilyard and Jayne Chard.

Two Heads Creek will be available to rent and own from iTunes from September 7 2020.
