  • Special screenings at Event Cinemas George Street and Brisbane Myer Centre confirmed to celebrate 15-year anniversary of Russian Resurrection Film Festival

    • Russian Resurrection Film Festival, the largest festival of Russian film outside of Russia screens annually in capital cities across Australia and New ZealandRussian Resurrection Film Festival and Event Cinemas are hosting a series of special monthly screenings this year to celebrate the 15-year anniversary of Russian Resurrection Film Festival in 2018.

      Following a full session of 2018 Oscar nominated film Loveless last month in Sydney, the festival is gearing up for this Sunday’s screenings of Konstantin Fam’s captivating new holocaust drama Witnesses in both Sydney and Brisbane.

      “We are thrilled to be celebrating our 15-year anniversary with some monthly screenings in the lead up to Russian Resurrection Film Festival in November this year. Following the incredible success of our Loveless screening last month in Sydney we look forward to screening Witnesses in both Sydney and Brisbane this weekend,” says Russian Resurrection Film Festival Director Nicholas Maksymow.

      “Witnesses is a simple, yet powerful moving trilogy, depicting the horrors of the Holocaust. Each story in the film provides an unusual, yet harrowing perspective on the tragic events during World War II, told from the perspective of three uncanny witnesses,” adds Nicholas Maksymow.
