The Perfect Light Film Festival, presented by Redenbach Lee Lawyers, is now calling for entries.  Enter your short film for the chance to be screened in front of 1500 people and win a share of up to $3K in cash and prizes.

PERFECT LIGHT FILM FESTIVAL IS NOW CALLING FOR ENTRIES

The Perfect Light Film Festival, presented by Redenbach Lee Lawyers, is now calling for entries.  Enter your short film for the chance to be screened in front of 1500 people and win a share of up to $3K in cash and prizes.

The Festival will be held in Broken Hill on Saturday December 1 in Sturt Park with a launch held on the Friday night and a filmmaking symposium held on the Sunday.

The entire Festival program is FREE to attend and includes:

Friday November 30 – Launch party with feature length movie and drinks and nibbles at Silver City Cinema.

Saturday December 1 – the FREE short film festival at Sturt Park. More than 12 short listed films are screened and judged live by top industry professionals with the winner taking out $1K in cash, second place $500 cash and third place scoring $250 cash. There are plenty more cool prizes with a dedicated RUOK Emerging Filmmaker Award. This award is open to any Australian student 18 years and under has the theme of RUOK.  The prize is $500cash.

Sunday December 2 – a Filmmaking Symposium at the Civic Centre.  Join leading film practitioners who will share their experiences, insider knowledge and best tips and techniques to make your short film.

To enter visit Film Freeway (www.filmfreeway.com).  Films must be 8 minutes of less in length and entries are open until Friday October 19, 2018.

Festival Director Steve Bastoni said the Short Film Festival is a great chance to network with industry professionals.  “Filmmakers receive feedback from the best in the business”, he said

The Festival is now in its second year and there is plenty more planned for this year’s program.  Popular local drag act, Shelita Buffet is performing at the Saturday event and Festival Organisers are pulling together a float for the annual street parade which leads into Sturt Park on the Saturday.
