New Music from Christine Anu ‘Colours of Your Life’ & ‘Love Symphony’ Out Today
From the soundtrack of the forthcoming Australian feature film
UNSOUND, coming to cinemas in 2020.
Acclaimed Australian recording artist Christine Anu has returned with two new singles, the upbeat and empowering Colours of Your Life and the soulful Love Symphony, released today by ABC Music.
Anu wrote the tracks with powerhouse song writing team Eddie Said and Chris Kamzelas for the forthcoming Australian feature film UNSOUND, which she also stars in. The film follows musician, Noah, whose romantic spark is ignited by a young emerging trans-man Finn, as they work together to save Finn’s community nightclub for the deaf. In the film, Anu plays ‘Moniqua’, a touring 90s pop icon, who saw talent in young musician Noah, and took him under her wing when no one else would. UNSOUND also stars Reece Noi (Game of Thrones), Yiana Pandelis (Legends), Todd McKenney (Shrek The Musical) and Paula Duncan (Hiding).
“Being a part of UNSOUND gave me an incredible opportunity to explore two of my greatest passions. My passion for music and my passion for all people having a voice” says Christine.
“Colours of Your Life is an uplifting song that really resonates as an anthem to me, calling on everyone to stand up and embrace each other’s differences. It is a song that gives me strength and my hope is that it brings that feeling to others.”
“Love Symphony is an opportunity for reflection, inviting everyone to find the power that comes through self-acceptance.” She adds “these songs are more than music and lyrics, they represent the power that is present when people are open to sharing and learning from each other, as we see in the film.”
UNSOUND will have its world premiere at the Mardi Gras Film Festival on February 25, 2020 and will be followed by a national cinema release later in 2020, distributed by Filmink Presents.
