LAST TREE STANDING World Premiere at SITGES – Number One Fantasy Film Festival in the World.
In a bleak world devoid of trees, LAST TREE STANDING tells the tale of a young dystopian girl named Lexie, who befriends a peculiar being – half-man, half-tree.
The film is the most recent work from young up-and-coming Sydney based director Agnes Baginska, recipient of a full scholarship from David Lynch for her previous award winning short Milkmaid.
Some of the artists involved in the project include David Lynch, Tom Waits, Robert Mackenzie and Blair Slater.
LAST TREE STANDING will screen in the Official Fantastic Competition at SITGES on the 11th of October 2017. This year the festival celebrates its 50th anniversary and the Godfather of this year’s edition is Guillermo del Toro.
Director Agnes Baginska and Cinematographer Zachary Peel-McGregor are going to be in attendance at the Festival.
Last Tree Standing is a film where magic and realism, live action and animation, the past, the present and the future coexist together, creating one coherent visionary tale.
