Playing upon our imaginations and fears of being alone in places that are normally brimming with people. Anne wakes up alone and trapped on an aeroplane only to discover she is being hunted. She must find a way to escape or die trying.

Filmed locally in Melbourne and the Geelong region this will be your first chance to see Grounded on the big screen accompanied by your favourite snacks and drinks. The red wine and blood will be flowing at Cinema Nova during the Monster Fest Shorts session screening the best horrors and thrillers from local and international short filmmakers.

Grounded has been doing its rounds on the film festival circuit picking up award wins and nominations in various countries, most recently winning gold at the 55th Victorian and Tasmanian Australian Cinematographers Society Awards. The atmospheric and claustrophobic scenes have also been accompanied by a multi-award-winning soundtrack from Perth based composer Sean Tinnion.

If you’re a fan of genre films or love to support the local arts scene be sure to check out the Monster Fest Shorts and the full festival programme.
