Filmed in Los Angeles, NO EVIL is a suspense thriller about Liz and Max, two friends who unexpectedly eavesdrop their way into trouble with a Thai Restaurant. Instead of snitching however, they decide to test their own survival instincts.

The film, which was also selected to screen at the 2016 Cannes Court Métrage, also stars American actress Julia Aks (Marvel: Agents of SHIELD) and Japanese actor Takaaki Hirakawa. The film’s director, Mike Gan, is a graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts. Cubis (Rake, Mako Mermaids) is represented by Sophie Jermyn Management in Australia.
Director Biography
Mike Gan was born in Beijing, China. The only child of two working immigrants in America, Mike was often dropped off at movie theaters as a form of daycare to stay out of trouble, and developed an intense passion for storytelling. Graduating from the USC School of Cinematic Arts, Mike now lives in Los Angeles, writing and directing narrative films about the human psyche and the collective journey of our mysterious race.
