AUSTRALIAN SHORT FILM SELECTED FOR ONIROS FILM AWARDS

Compulsion is the third short film by Australian film director Ryan Davey, following the success of his viral LGBT short film ‘Disc of Love’ starring Luke Cosgrove from Spike TV’s ‘The Mist’.  The film was recently made an official selection at the ‘Oniros Film Awards’ in Italy, and is currently doing its rounds in the film festival circuit around the world.

Compulsion is the third short film by Australian film director Ryan Davey, following the success of his viral LGBT short film ‘Disc of Love’ starring Luke Cosgrove from Spike TV’s ‘The Mist’.  The film was recently made an official selection at the ‘Oniros Film Awards’ in Italy, and is currently doing its rounds in the film festival circuit around the world.

Plot

Whilst working late one night, the archetypal office underling Felix (Josh Kieser) stumbles upon the managerial bathroom. Before him is the JX2000, a pristine slice of far eastern technology. Its seductive female voice entrances him, he can think of nothing else, and so begins the tragic story of a broken man and the toilet that spurned him.

Starring Josh Kieser and Darrell Plumridge

Ryan Davey is an Australian based writer, producer and director of short films and music videos. Having his work screened at a variety of film festivals around the world, including the ‘Tampa International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival’, ‘Melbourne Queer Film Festival’ and the ‘Brisbane Backyard Film Festival’.

He’s also liaised with various clients, producing the music video for Heli Puhakka’s ‘Someone Else’s Destiny’, and worked as Cinematographer on the ‘Hummingbird House’ television commercial.
