THE 2018 VOLVO SCANDINAVIAN FILM FESTIVAL SET TO WELCOME FESTIVAL GUESTS
Inspired by true events, WHILE WE LIVE follows four people in Northern Denmark and how their fates intertwine after a tragic accident.
Recently named among Variety’s “10 Europeans to Watch,” which highlights 10 talents from across the continent who are poised for breakthroughs in 2018, Mehdi Avaz and his brother Milad Avaz (who penned the screenplay) bring to life this remarkable story of family, loss and love. After a successful career as an award-winning stills photographer, Mehdi ventured into moving pictures – starting with commercials, music videos and live shows. Mehdi’s inspiration for his debut feature film came about after a tragic accident that occurred in his childhood town. WHILE WE LIVE was an unprecedented hit in Denmark (going straight to second place on its opening weekend behind only Thor: Ragnarok), and has been dubbed the best Danish debut in decades.
