Jamie Lee Curtis is on board for David Gordon Green’s Halloween reboot. The original scream queen confirmed her return to the slasher franchise in the traditional manner, tweeting a pretty kick-ass pic:
"Same porch. Same clothes. Same issues. 40 years later. Headed back to Haddonfield one last time for Halloween. Release date 10/19/18." pic.twitter.com/IvptiZctyw

And as you can see, we have a release date! For the US, at any rate.
DGG, best known for directing comedies such as Pineapple Express and Your Highness, has collaborated on the screenplay with Danny McBride, while original Halloween director John Carpenter is on board as Executive Producer. Plot details are scant, but the smart money’s on it involving a big guy in a William Shatner mask slicing up teenagers. If we were to hazard a guess, though, it’s probably going to take the same route that Halloween H20 did, ignoring the crappier sequels and cleaving to the Laurie/Michael Myers dynamic.
