The Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling Return in the GLOW Season 2 Trailer

June 13, 2018
It;s time to get back in the ring for Netflix's acclaimed ladies wrestling series.

Season one of Netflix’s GLOW was an absolute blast, and if you’re immune to its many charms you might wanna get that checked out by a professional. Happily, enough people got Liz Flahive (Homeland) and Carly Mensch’s (Orange is the New Black) ladies wrestling dramedy up in their grills to justify a second season, which is heading our way on June 29.

Picking up where we left off, Season 2 follows the women of GLOW as they become local celebrities, confronting the good, the bad, and the ugly realities of their newfound fame. As Ruth (Alison Brie) and Debbie (Betty Gilpin) settle into the day-to-day of making a season of TV together, they confront lingering issues at the heart of their friendship. Sam (Marc Maron)  is still Sam, but now he has a teenage daughter Britt Baron) living with him and twenty episodes to churn out. The wrestling is harder, the stakes are higher, and the hair is even bigger.

Hopefully GLOW won’t prove to be lightning in a bottle – the first season was so good and so weird, a remarkably deft tonal achievement, that it’s going to be a hard act to follow. Guess we’ll find out at the end of the month…
