Get Ready to Jump in the New Insidious: The Last Key Trailer

September 6, 2017
Just here for Leigh Whannell and Angus Sampson, tbh.

The smart play in making a franchise out of 2010’s Poltergeist homage Insidious is, of course, following Lin Shaye’s freelance psychic and her parapsychologist sidekicks, played by Leigh Whannell and Angus Sampson, and darned if director (just producer on this one – Adam Robitel, who did The Taking of Deborah Logan, has the wheel) James Wan didn’t make it.

The Last Key sees Shaye’s Elise Rainier returning to her childhood home in New Mexico to investigate a haunting – almost certainly by the demon she first encountered as a child. You probably already know if you’re in the bag for this, let’s face it – the Insidious movies are solid if generally less than original jump scare factories, so if that scratches an itch for you, look forward to the Australian release on January 18, 2018.
