Stephan’s Elliott’s ’70s-set comedic ode to poor parenting, Swinging Safari (formerly titled Flammable Children) will be released across Australia on 11 January 2018.
Starring Guy Pearce, Kylie Minogue, Radha Mitchell, Julian McMahon, Asher Keddie and Jeremy Sims, plus Jack Thompson, Darcey Wilson and new face Atticus Robb, the film takes place in a beachside neighbourhood, at the height of the ’70s, and is, as the presser tells us, “…a love letter to a world of careless parenting, constant
sunburn and unsupervised activities.”
Notably, the film marks something of a reunion for the team behind The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of The Desert, which Elliott directed and Pearce starred in. Other Priscilla alumni on board include producer Al Clark, production designer Colin Gibson, costume designer, Lizzy Gardiner, editor Sue Blainey and composer Guy Gross.
Hopefully we’ll be looking at a trailer sooner rather than later.
