Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure is the follow up to 2008's Tinker Bell and the latest animation from Walt Disney Pictures that will have little girls everywhere delightedly giggling. It even received a two week cinema run, which is interesting considering its pedigree as a straight to DVD type release.

The heroine's endearing clumsiness and impulsive spirit makes Tinker Bell undoubtedly charming, and in this film we are once again taken on a journey of Tink's escapades whereby it falls on her to save the day with the help of her best pal, Terence, a Pixie Dust Fairy. It is a rough journey that sees Tink learn about true friendship and become more self-aware, but unfortunately, this all comes about the hard way.

While Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure doesn't have all the double entendres thrown in for an adult audience like so many children's films these days, it is actually all the more refreshing because of this. It is a return to innocence that will have your child discovering the importance of friendship, forgiveness and kindness. That said, the only extra appeal the film has for adults is through the vocal casting of the supporting roles.

The voices of Lucy Liu, Kristen Chenoweth and Jane Horrocks are all evident as fairies Silvermist, Rosetta and Fairy Mary, and of course Anjelica Houston as Queen Clarion. With Tinker Bell voiced by Mae Whitman (In Treatment, Arrested Development) and pop star Jesse McCartney as Terence, your young children will be thrilled with this enchanting tale of fun and adventure.

Also released on Blu-ray, the bonus features on both formats include out-takes (never before seen scenes), ‘fairy bloopers: fairies make mistakes too', ‘Magical Guide to Pixie Hollow', ‘Pixie Preview', which is an exclusive animated vignette featuring Tink and her friends, Deleted scenes with filmmaker commentary and much more.
