Buena Vista Home Entertainment. On shelves October 23.
Once again, Wes Anderson (Bottle Rocket, Rushmore) has come up with an absolute gem of a movie. Told in an episodic narrative style, Royal Tenenbaum (Gene Hackman) fakes an incurable illness in order to try to re-unite his family: ex-wife Ethel (Angelica Huston), and their former-prodigies of children - tennis star Ritchie (Luke Wilson), playwright Margot (Gwyneth Paltrow) and Wall Street whiz, Chas (Ben Stiller), not to mention wanna-be Tenenbaum, cling-on Eli Cash (co-writer Owen Wilson), a neighbor of the kooky bunch. Possessing a fantastic, individualistic sense of style in every way, from the costumes to the soundtrack, The Royal Tenenbaums is truly without fault.
