The Film: It's the1950s and a meteorite laden with space goop called atmospherium has hit earth. Since atmospherium can do everything from saving humanity to raising a sorcerer's skeleton from the grave, an intrepid professor and his wife, two space aliens, a rabid mutant and a mad scientist all want dibs on the thing. Made to quite accurately resemble 1950's schlock horror a la Ed Wood, The Lost Skeleton Of Cadavra is shot on what looks like the black and white function of a handy cam. And if it weren't for the hilarious bad-on-purpose acting and superbly camp direction, it'd be a student film. But director Larry Blamire has an incredible sensitivity for that mix of absurdly fantastical storytelling, outlandish leaps of logic and truly unnatural acting that makes awful sci-fi movies so great.
