The Film: In this gritty, LA-rock-scene drama, Gina Gershon is the battered and bruised Jackie, who fronts her all-female band The Clam Dandies with the passion of a woman half her age. Jackie just wants to rock, and thinks she has everything she needs, but when cracks start to rifle through the band, and she starts to fall for Animal (Marc Blucas), a threatening but sensitive ex-con, Jackie's life isn't so simple anymore. While the film's gritty sense of street poetry is occasionally dulled by its lapses into melodrama, Prey For Rock And Roll is still ragged and bleedingly heartfelt.
