"By night they will come, by day we will be gone." Hmm, not a bad tagline. Shame the reality is more like, "By night they will go out and rent this DVD, by day they will wish that they spent their hard-earned six bucks on something...anything...else...even that really, really bad Keanu Reeves remake of the similarly-named and identically-plotted The Day The Earth Stood Still." Anyway, all you need to know is this: it's a movie about megalomaniac robot aliens, starring Judd Nelson and C. Thomas Howell. For those of you born after 1990, all you need to know about those two is, in the eighties, those guys were hot. Now...well, despite their (actual) talent, they are starring in movies about megalomaniac robot aliens that are knockoffs of other, stinky movies about megalomaniac robot aliens. Apparently, legal action is being taken...for anyone who cares...
