The Help
"... it’s all so affecting because of the top-notch performances, which lend a spine to the sentimentality."
The Smurfs
"...the lacklustre performances and uninspiring script fail to engage viewers of any age."
The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest: The Extended Cut
"...this final chapter remains almost deliberately over-talky, uneventful and drab..."

"..a 4 hour melodramatic spectacle, but it’s still wonderful to watch."

After tearing up the snowboarding scene back in the nineties, Max (Dave England) and Eddy (Jason Bothe) find themselves working as lifties at a second rate ski resort by day, and then find themselves drunk every night. In an attempt to regain their former glory and "stick it to the man", the duo signs up the rawest talent on the slopes to go head to head with their arch nemesis, Kingsley (Tom Green). A predictable underdog tale with few surprises and/or laughs, Shred ultimately turns into an elongated snowboarding movie with a few beer bongs and boobs to complement the non-descript punk soundtrack and never ending footage of gnarly 720's and rad 50/50's. The biggest question? When did Tom Green actually stop being funny?
