The Adelaide Film Festival is partnering with the world’s largest film market presented at the prestigious Festival de Cannes. The partnership will see Adelaide Film Festival lead a delegation of ten South Australian filmmakers to Cannes, connecting producers and directors to the global film market.

Melbourne filmmaker Harry Quinlan's latest short, "A Rose for Katrina," is poised to make its international premiere at the prestigious Tribeca Festival in New York. Written and directed by Quinlan, the film was produced by Lawrence Phelan of Recliner and shot by Melbourne cinematographer David McKinnar.

The Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) student film, Withered Blossoms, written and directed by Lionel Seah, has been selected to screen at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival in the La Cinef section, where it will have its world premiere.

Vibrant Sydney-based music licencing platform Melodie has scored another breakthrough when it was awarded “Product of the Year” at the NAB Show in Las Vegas - one of the world’s largest media and broadcast events, which attracts 1,300 exhibitors from 41 countries and 61,000 participants. The award is recognition not only of Melodie’s product excellence and innovation, but also Australian composers' increasing global presence.

Principal photography has just wrapped on Australian feature film BREAK A LEG, from local Canberra filmmakers and actors Kaitlyn Boyé and Brendan Kelly. The film was shot on location at The Q Theatre in Canberra, with the support of The Q, Queanbeyan Performing Arts Centre.
