The new face of the upcoming rebooted The Bourne Legacy (as well as the latest issue of FilmInk!), the increasingly busy Jeremy Renner is now set to replace Christian Bale in David O. Russell's currently untitled feature, which was previously named American Bullshit.

Renner will take over the role once occupied by Bale (before he seemingly became a muse to Terrence Malick), starring in the true story of a former con man who becomes the centre of a complex FBI sting operation. Renner will tackle the ambitious FBI agent role.

It has also confirmed that Bradley Cooper and Amy Adams (who previously worked with Russell in The Fighter) will feature with the former to play the con man and the latter to play his mistress and co-conspirator.

The script was penned by Eric Singer (The International) and is set to shoot next year.
