Etan Cohen To Pen ‘Ghostbusters 3’

Who you going to call?! Uh, Etan Cohen...

Proving that it's not ready to call quits on Ghostbusters 3, Sony has recruited scribe Etan Cohen - who has penned Idiocracy, Tropic Thunder and was appropriately one of the scribes behind Men In Black 3 - to write the film.

Cohen will rewrite the original script from screenwriters, Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky (who have also penned Bad Teacher, Year One and episodes from the US version of The Office), which famously failed to meet the approval of Bill Murray.

This third instalment is reported to chronicle original cast members Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson - and an increasingly unlikely Bill Murray - passing the torch to a new generation of ghostbusters.

As well as penning Ghostbusters 3, Cohen is set to make his directorial feature debut with the horror-comedy Boy Scouts vs. Zombies, which treks a trio of scouts who use their skills to save their small town from a zombie attack.
