Australian International Documentary Conference 2011 MeetMarket open for Submissions
September 08, 2010 11:22
MeetMarket – the highly successful, productive and competitive marketplace initiative for documentary filmmakers – is now open for submissions for presentation at the 2011 AUSTRALIAN INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY CONFERENCE (AIDC).
MeetMarket brings together selected documentary filmmakers with national and international executive producers, broadcasters and distributors attending AIDC in Adelaide in March 2011.
MeetMarket is designed to match documentary filmmakers’ most innovative project ideas with targeted national and international audiences. Twenty-five documentary projects will be selected to participate in MeetMarket, 2011. Twenty of these slots are available to Australian filmmakers and five slots are open to projects from Asian filmmakers.
Pitch teasers of the selected 25 projects will then be viewed by executive producers, broadcasters and distributors from the documentary industry through the online Screening Room.
After viewing the selected projects, the executive producers, broadcasters and distributors will choose which ones they wish to discuss further in meetings with the filmmakers at AIDC.
The MeetMarket catalogue will now also be available year-round through screeningroom.org.au.
Filmmakers wanting to participate in MeetMarket 2011 should submit their projects online. Projects entered may be at any stage of development, production or post-production.
AIDC 2011 provides a range of marketplace opportunities for its delegates including MeetMarket, Trailer Park, Videotheque and The Editors’ Hours.
Submissions close on Monday 29 November.
For more info and to submit a project visit MeetMarket at www.aidc.com.au under Marketplace
