Cinema Nova, Melbourne’s internationally renowned arthouse theatre complex, not only brings the globe to Carlton through the projected image but now proudly presents the flavours of Spain with the stunning new Cinema Nova Bar.
Featuring a unique double-fronted terrace that gives a first-floor view of the most iconic stretch of Lygon Street, the Cinema Nova Bar is the perfect place to relax with a coffee, cocktail or glass of wine before or after your film.
After a painstaking renovation over three years in the making, the upstairs floors of two Victorian Terraces have been converted by award-wining architect Aidan Halloran into an exquisite environment that makes for an intimate, comfortable dining experience.
Serving an innovative menu that’s a refreshing alternative to the pasta of Lygon Street, renowned Executive Chef Raúl Moreno Yagüe has created original Spanish Tapas.
In June 2010, just in time for Cinema Nova’s 18th birthday, a further 4 screens were added bringing the total to 15 auditoria.
Now with a new bar to its name, Cinema Nova is not only the world’s largest art house cinema
complex, but also a vibrant, iconic and delicious institution.
