Monster House on 3D Blu-ray September 15th
August 03, 2010 11:34
Amid the growing excitement for 3D in the home, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment (SPHE) has announced the release of 'Monster House', debuting September 15, 2010 on high definition Blu-ray 3D™.
The Blu-ray 3D release of 'Monster House' will make viewers’ living rooms come alive as they experience a whole new dimension of the animated feature in full 1080p high definition 3D, optimised for the latest 3D playback devices and eyewear. The 2D version of the film is also included on the disc for playback on all existing Blu-ray players.
'Monster House' joins 'Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs' as some of the first 3D Blu-rays available to purchase in Australia, with a strong children’s line-up planned ahead of Christmas.
“Sony has been at the forefront in the creation of both the technology and content for 3D,” said Catherine Tan, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. “From the cameras to 3D BRAVIA televisions to movies and games, Sony offers a lens to lounge room solution for a complete 3D experience. Sony Pictures is deeply engaged in today’s growing 3D marketplace to offer quality content for the 3D BRAVIA televisions that have been available since June.”
While the 3D experience in the home is still at an early adoption phase, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment expects the take-up of 3D TVs to increase as more content becomes available.
“We are keen to capitalise on the growing number of 3D TVs in homes around Australia by releasing more exciting content later this year.” Tan added.
