Cinema Nova and Hopscotch Films proudly present internationally acclaimed Aussie actors, Joel Edgerton and Radha Mitchell, discussing their incredible new film, the intoxicating drama THE WAITING CITY.
Join the lead cast, director Claire McCarthy and host, reporter/broadcaster Tracee Huchison, in conversation following a special preview screening of the film The Hollywood reporter calls "a welcome addition to the new Australian cinema".
A standout movie at the Sydney Film Festival, THE WAITING CITY tells the story of an outwardly happy Australian couple, ambitious corporate lawyer Fiona (Radha Mitchell) and failed musician husband Ben (Joel Edgerton) as they journey to India to collect their adopted baby. Soon the mystical power of the city pulls them in separate and unexpected directions and the vulnerability of their marriage begins to reveal itself.
Set against the exhilarating epic backdrop of Kolkata, this is an intimate, complex love story of discovery and transformation. Also stars Isabel Lucas and noted Indian actor Samrat Chakrabart.
