Special Schemes At SPAA Conference

The Screen Producers Association of Australia (SPAA) is seeking interest from new and
emerging producers to participate in this year’s special events to be held during their annual Conference from 16 to 19 November at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney.
SHOWTIME Talent Assist Scheme is designed to profile the work of an emerging producer at the
SPAA Conference. The winning entry will be screened to over 700 delegates including international guests, producers, acquisitions executives, financiers, programmers, distributors and broadcasters. This is a one in a million opportunity to shine the spotlight on yourself and your work to key decision makers in the screen industry.
Deadline: 10 September 2010, 5pm.
The Holding Redlich Pitching Competition is a conference highlight and is judged by a panel of international and local industry figures. This year two finalists will be selected from the SDA Pitching Session held at SPAA Fringe on 23 October at the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney. Further details on how to enter are available on the Fringe website.
DigiSPAA – Digital Feature Film Competition is recognised as the leading showcase for low budget filmmaking in Australia and New Zealand. All aspiring digital filmmakers are encouraged to enter. Deadline: Friday 17 September 2010, 5pm.
