Film Festival Settles in on the Broadwater!
April 27, 2010 11:33
The Gold Coast Film Festival (formerly known as the Gold Coast Film Fantastic) has signed three year sponsorship agreements with Australia Fair Shopping Centre and Birch Carroll and Coyle Australia Fair Cinemas to give the festival a home for the next three years.
This is a great result for the festival following the dramatic 90% increase in attendance at last year's event and will facilitate further growth and expansion for the festival with two corporate partners committed to the development of the event.
"With the support of our major Government partner Gold Coast City Council, and now Australia Fair and Birch Carroll and Coyle, I am confident Gold Coast cinefiles and film lovers will be in store for a terrific event this November," Casey Marshall Siemer, Festival Director.
The film festival has also received confirmation of support from Screen Queensland for the 2010 festival.
The 2010 Gold Coast Film Festival (GCFF10) presented by Australia Fair Shopping Centre will be held November 10-16 at Southport at the Australia Fair Birch Carroll and Coyle Cinemas and Southport Broadwater Parklands. It will include an opening night red carpet gala, exciting pre release screenings, free film industry workshops, a free family oriented outdoor program in the Parklands, and a showcase of Queensland filmmakers. Other elements of the festival will be announced closer to the event.
"This year's Gold Coast Film Festival will be an event every cinema lover will want to attend." John Boero, Area General Manager, Birch Carroll and Coyle Cinema.
