Sony Opens Its First 3D Showcase In Australia

Sony – the leader in end-to-end 3D technology - opened its first 3D hands-on experience area in Australia, confirming its position at the forefront of the 3D home entertainment revolution. Australian consumers can now experience Sony’s upcoming BRAVIA 3D TVs for themselves with exclusive demonstrations of the TVs before they become available for purchase in July 2010.
The first permanent display, which demonstrates the 3D home experience to consumers, is featured at the flagship Sony Centre store in World Square, Sydney. Sony will roll out dedicated 3D demonstration areas across Australia in the coming months, with 14 sites to open by the end of May 2010.
“2010 marks the beginning of 3D technology in Australian homes,” said Carl Rose, Managing Director, Sony ANZ. “3D has already generated a lot of interest and excitement in Australia, and indeed around the world. Being able to demonstrate a new technology like 3D allows us to gain valuable insight into consumer reaction and the possibilities for this technology in Australia.”
