Australian Film 'Damned by Dawn' Opens A Night of Horror Film Festival
April 08, 2010 17:10
The festival's opening night film, 'DAMNED BY DAWN', screens at 7:00pm, Thursday April 15, at Dendy Cinema Newtown. Independent Australian filmmaker Brett Anstey bursts onto the horror scene with this atmospheric film, his feature debut. 'DAMNED BY DAWN' artfully combines Gothic chills with zombie-style action. Brett will introduce the film and partake in a Q&A following the screening.
And join Brett and other cast and crew members for a complimentary glass of Howling Wolves Wine before the film in the Dendy Newtown foyer from 6:30pm.
The following eight nights are filled with film premieres, forums, and special events.
Special international guests include: Kerry Prior director of THE REVENANT, the vampire-zombie-buddy film and hit of the international festival circuit; and veteran Italian-American actor/producer Domiziano Arcangeli who will be presenting his beautiful but deeply disturbing new film HOUSE OF FLESH MANNEQUINS.
The festival will terrify audiences from April 15-23 at Dendy, Newtown Cinema and other Sydney venues.
Tickets are on sale now through Dendy Cinema Newtown. Phone bookings: (02) 9550 5699. Online at: www.dendy.com.au
