Flickerfest Melbourne: March 25 & 26 at Kino Cinemas
March 11, 2010 10:44
Flickerfest, Australia’s premier international short film festival opens in Melbourne with a world-class program of multi-award winning shorts, made by Melbourne filmmakers, and continues the following night with a celebration of some of the best Oscar-winning and nominated shorts from across the world. Flickerfest screens for 2 nights only at Kino Cinemas, on Thursday 25 and Friday 26 March 2010.
Opening night on Thursday 25 March features 2 separate programs of award-winning Victorian shorts specially curated for Melbourne, with Opening Night Drinks in between.
“This year we have received some exceptional short films from Victoria exhibiting an abundance of talent, true creativity and innovation in the short film form. I’ve been so impressed with the quality of these films that we have decided to increase our Melbourne screenings to two fabulous programmes of local films, including many Melbourne premieres, that promise to inspire audiences with the depth of talent in the Victorian short film community today,” said Festival Director Bronwyn Kidd.
Tickets are on sale now. Full program details are available at www.flickerfest.com.au
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to see these outstanding shorts on the big screen.
