Call For Young Aussies To Cast Spotlight On Drug Dangers
March 08, 2010 11:08
A new national short film competition invites budding and first time filmmakers to get creative in tackling drug issues affecting young Australians.
Supporting the Australian Government’s 2010 National Drugs Campaign, the Face Facts Short Film Competition asks young filmmaking hopefuls how they would warn their mates of the risks associated with taking ecstasy.
A cool $10k cash is up for grabs for the winning film, while five runner-ups will pocket $1k each.
After the competition closes on 30 April, six films will be chosen by a panel of industry experts and posted on the competition’s microsite, www.facefactsfilms.com.au.
Then it’s over to the people of Australia to pick a winner! By logging onto the microsite, users will be able to watch the final six short films, and have the chance to win $5k just by voting for their favourite.
Launched by mcm media, producer of The Hot Hits Live from LA and Take 40 Australia, the Face Facts Short Film Competition gives participants the chance to communicate an important message in their own, imaginative way.
To take part in the competition, entrants must produce an original film of no more than 60 seconds warning young Australians of these dangers, and include the campaign’s logo Ecstasy. Face Facts.
All the information about entering, can be found on the competition microsite, www.facefactsfilms.com.au.
