ME Bank Starlight Cinema presents LAN Brazilian Festa

February 09, 2010 13:13

Following an outstanding success in 2009, the LAN Brazilian Festa returns for a second year to ME Bank Starlight Cinema on February 28. The Festival will feature live music with Toca Jorge and Jeanne Bastos Band, a special talk by Brazilian journalist Pablo Naucer, activities to keep the kids occupied, a carnival parade and an Australian premiere of the Brazilion film, Diva.

A contemporary comedy, Diva is the story of Mercedes (played by Brazilian leading actress Lilian Cabral), a happily married middle-class mother who holds down a comfortable job. Her existence is as predictable as they come until she decides, for reasons she can't quite put her finger on, to start seeing a therapist. The therapy acts as a catalyst for Mercedes to embark on an emotional, life-changing journey.

LAN Brazilian Festa starts at 4pm and the film will be screened at sundown.
